Aims and benefits

Now that the project is complete, these improvements will:

  • Improve safety and reduce collisions on some of the county's highest risk roads
  • Unlock growth and improve connectivity

Cost and funding

We (and partners North Lincolnshire Council and North East Lincolnshire Council) received a total of £7.4m from the Safer Roads Fund.

  • £1,245,000 – A1084, between Caistor and Brigg
  • £645,000 – A631 Middle Rasen to Bishops Bridge
  • £2,725,000 – A631 Louth to Middle Rasen
  • £2,822,000 – A18, between the A16 and the County Boundary

Additional notes

Two pieces of work on the A631 between Market Rasen and Louth are left to complete, including introducing a reduced speed limit and an average speed camera system.
