Coastal country park

Coastal car parks

The coast is part of our national identity. Valued for its scenery and as a place for relaxation and enjoyment.

We have provided points along the coast to provide access to the beautiful coastline.

Parking charges

Parking charges apply at:

  • Anderby Creek
  • Chapel Six Marshes
  • Huttoft Car Terrace
  • Marsh Yard and Moggs Eye
  • Wolla Bank

Charges apply to all vehicles using the car parks between 10am and 5pm daily, between Good Friday and the end of October. The charges are:

  • up to 1 hour £1.50
  • up to 2 hours £3.00
  • over 2 hours £5.00

Vehicles displaying a blue badge are exempt from charges.

In June 2026, we will join the National Parking Platform. The NPP provides car park users greater choice for paying for a parking stay through the pay by phone method. Joining the NPP enables users to pay for parking, utilising various phone-based apps as opposed to being constrained to just one. This will provide car park users with better opportunity to:

  • ensure payments are made correctly
  • use any of the aligned parking apps you may already have

This makes parking payments simpler and more flexible.

New pay by phone number: 0333 200 8080

Pay by phone providers:

  • APCOA Connect
  • Appy parking
  • Caura
  • JustPark
  • Pay by phone
  • RingGo

Visit the National Parking Platform website.

Payments and tickets are transferable so if you are unable to get mobile reception you may purchase a ticket at a machine which can then be used at any of the other sites.

A penalty charge notice will be issued to:

  • any vehicle (including those displaying a blue badge) parked between 10pm and 6am
  • all vehicles with a total length of over six metres (including trailers and horse boxes) parked at any time
