County views survey summary report - spring 2023 - helping people access information about care

Overview

We hold three County Views surveys a year. The survey results give us valuable information to help make improvements to services we provide.

This survey ran from 10 May to 31 August 2023. The survey was available:
  • on the Let’s talk Lincolnshire website
  • in the County News magazine
  • via a dedicated telephone line
The survey on Let’s talk Lincolnshire asked participants to register to take part. Registration data contains additional demographic information about those who took part. This includes for example, which district participants are from, how old they are and their ethnicity. It helps us to check if we are reaching a representative section of society. We’re also using this information to compare participants’ perceptions. There were 220 registered participants that took part in the survey and provided this additional information. This means we were able to analyse and compare the results by demographic data for 61% of the responses received.

We published this survey in the County News magazine, which was a new way of obtaining data. The survey was anonymous and did not collect any demographic data. We received 61 paper copies from County News.

In general, the responses from County News were more negative than the surveys completed in any other format. Additionally, 20 (32%) County News respondents mentioned they did not have access to a computer or internet. This is 5% of all respondents who took part. We will continue to use County News to provide opportunities to get involved in County Views survey in the future.

We received 360 responses in total, of which:
  • 288 surveys submitted directly on Let’s talk Lincolnshire website
  • 70 by post
  • 2 through telephone calls
We received several comments that did not relate to the subject of this survey. We shared those comments with the specific service they related to.

In each County Views survey, we ask for people’s perceptions of the council in five main areas. We reviewed and changed the reoccurring questions in November 2022. The data in this report only contains the trends for the new set of questions.
