- Date of council's decision
- 1 October 2021
- Outcome and reasons for the decision
-
That an order be made seeking to record, on the definitive map and statement, public footpath rights between Lenton Road and Humby Road (i.e. a longer route than applied for), on the basis that there is sufficient evidence to reasonably allege that footpath rights subsist.
- Date modification order made
- 4 January 2022
- Confirmation,non confirmation (with,without mods)
-
Two objections were lodged against the making of the Modification Order. The Order, objection, evidence, and the requisite documents were submitted to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for a decision based on the evidence on whether the Order should be. In a decision of 3 December 2025, the Secretary of State confirmed the Order as made on the grounds that the evidence demonstrated that there had been sufficient qualifying public use of the route over the 20-year period 1985-2005 to have given rise to the deemed dedication of public footpath rights. As a result of the confirmation of the Order, the route is now recorded as a public footpath in the Definitive Map and Statement. It is called “Ingoldsby Public Footpath 1194”.
