Sleaford is an historic market town in the heart of the peaceful Lincolnshire countryside. The River Slea meanders past the council offices, offering grassed areas, bridges and mature willow trees as ideal settings for photographs.
There are two ceremony rooms:
- the Council Chamber/Civic Suite which seats up to 50 guests
- the adjacent Committee Room which will comfortably seat up to 20 guests
Both rooms offer a modern neutral setting with panelled walls, vaulted cream ceilings, pale green chairs and carpet, and complementary neutral silk flower arrangements.
Double doors lead to a paved area within the courtyard ideal for photographs.
Places of interest close by include The Hub, a contemporary craft and design centre. The attractive and picturesque 18th century Cogglesford working watermill sits on the banks of the river Slea and has a long and fascinating history. Also located just four miles from Sleaford town at Heckington is the only working eight-sailed windmill in the country, which was built in 1830. Sleaford is surrounded by flat fenland countryside and it is an attractive location for your civil ceremony.
