Mondays

Potter and play 0 to 5 years

An opportunity for babies and children to pop in with their parents and carers to use the resources in the early years room in the centre. All we ask is that families clean and tidy the resources after use and the space is a safe and happy environment for all to enjoy.

Duration: 2 hours


Early talkers 0 to 5 years

This session will support children to become confident communicators through songs, rhymes, exploring and sharing books.

Time: 1pm
Duration: 45 minutes

Tuesdays

Early explorers under 1s

Babies learn through their senses. This session will provide a range of opportunities for babies’ to explore different messy play activities such as sand, water, gloop and cereals.

Wednesdays

Little wishes parent led group - 0 to 5 years

A relaxed family session for parents and their 0 to 5 year olds. Run by volunteers who are parents themselves. Term-time only.

Thursdays

Little explorers 0 to 5 years

A sensory play session encouraging children to explore a range of messy play activities such as water, sand, crafts, gloop and play dough.

Time: 10am

Fridays

Shining start 0 to 5 years

Do you have a child 0 to 5 year old? Would you like to meet other families in the area? Are you pregnant or about to become a new parent? Why not come and join us for a coffee and a chat and play in our activity room. Your early years practitioner will be on hand to offer advice and information about your local children’s centre offer.

Borrow bags

Drop into any children’s centre to access the range of borrow bags. These include sensory bags, stories bags, treasure baskets and much more.


Free online sessions for parents and carers

Connect with other parents and carers via Zoom and learn about topics relevant to families and children aged 0 to 5. Share ideas in how to support children’s early education and each other. Visit the Family Corner website.

Solihull approach - free online courses for parents, grandparents, teens and carers

The courses provide support through all stages of bringing up children, from pregnancy and birth to caring for toddlers up to teenagers. They include specific courses for teenagers, and for parents and carers of children with additional needs. Parents’ courses can be accessed via the Solihull approach website.
