This session will support children to become confident communicators through songs, rhymes, exploring and sharing books.

Learning together toddlers 1 to 5 years starts 15 April

The session features a ‘talk time’ to show how the little things parents do make a big difference to their children’s learning, together with a range of fun play activities, songs and stories.

Solihull antenatal education programme, group for parents starts 8 April

The Solihull Antenatal Education Programme is intended for parents to be, and their birthing partner. This is a 6-week programme designed to provide you with information around parent and baby relationships, labour and birth, breast feeding and caring for you baby. If you are 28 weeks pregnant or over and would like to attend this funded programme, please register using this education form.

Time to Play 0 to 5 years

(previously advertised as Kids Creche and Early Support and Learning Provision)

Early Support and Learning Provision, providing opportunities for children with disabilities or complex medical needs to learn and explore through play independently, whilst providing a short break for their parent and carer. OWL babies under 1s 

OWL babies - outdoor while learning. Sessions will include discussions around the benefits of being outside, sensory play activities, exploring nature, singing and sharing books.

Breast start from pregnancy and breastfeeding on 17 April, 1 May and 15 May

Come and join us in a relaxed, friendly environment, chat and meet other breastfeeding mums and get some support and advice. A member of the health visiting team supports the group.

The early days 

A programme to support families and their new babies in a relaxed and friendly environment. Meet other new parents, take part in activities such as tummy time, singing and sharing books. An ideal session for your first visit into a children’s centre.

Little explorers 0 to 5 years

A sensory play session encouraging children to explore a range of messy play activities such as water, sand, crafts, gloop and play dough.

Speech and language drop in

Drop-in for parents and carers to chat with a speech and language assistant where they may have concerns about their child’s speech and language development.

Drop in baby cafe

Our drop-in baby café provides a warm and welcoming space for you and your baby to relax, eat and drink. Help yourself to free refreshments and let your baby explore the toys. We have baby changing facilities onsite and nappies available too. Our friendly Business Support staff will be on-hand to signpost you to all available community services.

Making it real on 2 May - Early years alliance event, making the most of stories and rhymes 

During these sessions we will be sharing ideas that you can repeat at home to support your child's development. Fun activities that you and your child can enjoy that will prepare them for the exciting journey to being ready for school. These activities will include mark making fun, making the most of stories and rhymes, exploring environmental print and oral language.

Let’s get active 0 to 5 years

Children will be encouraged to be active in a range of activities such as running, jumping, balancing, climbing and throwing to develop their coordination.

Drop into any children’s centre to access the range of borrow bags.  These include sensory bags, stories bags, treasure baskets and much more.


Free online sessions for parents and carer

Connect with other parents and carers via Zoom and learn about topics relevant to families and children aged 0 to 5. Share ideas in how to support children’s early education and each other. Visit the Family Corner website.

Solihull approach - free online courses for parents, grandparents, teens and carers

The courses provide support through all stages of bringing up children, from pregnancy and birth to caring for toddlers up to teenagers. They include specific courses for teenagers, and for parents and carers of children with additional needs. Parents’ courses can be accessed via the Solihull approach website.


Targeted individual or group (family hub) incredible years baby 0 to 12 months

This parenting programme that covers the child’s first 12 months of life. It is an evidence-based programme which focuses on strengthening parenting skills and building a positive relationship with your baby. 

It is recommended to gain the most from the course content that you sign up when your child is aged between 0 to 6 months old.

Targeted individual or group incredible years toddler 1 to 3 years

This 13-week parenting programme an evidence-based programme which focuses on strengthening parenting skills and building a positive relationship with your child. For parents with children aged 1 to 3 years children. Please note that children are unable to attend, this is a parent only course.
