Big Cook, Little Cook 0 to 5 years - starts 23 February

Children and parents will work together to prepare nutritious food. There will be lots of chopping, mixing, stirring, measuring and following a recipe.

Speech and Language drop in

Drop-in for parents and carers to chat with a speech and language assistant where they may have concerns about their child’s speech and language development.

Pop in and Play 0 to 5 years

An opportunity for babies and children to pop in with their parents and carers to use the resources in the early years room in the centre. All we ask is that families clean and tidy the resources after use and the space is a safe and happy environment for all to enjoy.

Tuesdays

Stay and Play under 1s

Sessions will offer activities to encourage babies to grow and learn through treasure baskets, messy play, singing and sharing stories.

Antenatal Education Programme, group for parents - starts 17 February for six weeks

Family Hubs - Universal Antenatal programme to support emotional health and wellbeing in the delivery of Solihull Approach groups for parents, with a focus on relationships and nurturing connected, sensitive and responsive interactions. If you are 22 weeks pregnant or over and would like to attend this funded programme, please register using the link below:

Breast start from pregnancy and breastfeeding

Come and join us in a relaxed, friendly environment, chat and meet other breastfeeding mums and get some support and advice. A member of the health visiting team supports the group.

Time to Play

Delivered by Early Years Alliance, Time to Play, provides opportunities for children with disabilities or complex medical needs (in their early years up until they transition into statutory full-time education) to learn and explore through play, whilst providing a short break for their parents/carers.

Baby Massage - starts 25 February

This five-week course offers a chance for you and your baby to spend precious time bonding through massage whilst meeting other parents with babies to form friendships

The session features a ‘Talk Time’ to show how the little things parents do make a big difference to their babies’ learning, together with a range of activities such as treasure baskets, messy play, singing songs and sharing books.

Little Explorers 0 to 5 years

A sensory and messy play session providing lots of fun-filled opportunities for Children to explore using their senses, giving them opportunity to learn and develop.

First Bites and Baby Life 3 to 6 months - 12 March only

This session shares top tips from introducing solids, oral health, accident prevention and age-appropriate development. It’s a great opportunity to meet new families and find out what local services are available for your family.

Multinational Stay and Play 0 to 5 years

Fun activities for children and families to explore together, singing and sharing books to support children’s confidence, independence and language development. Supported by PAB Languages.

A safe space for parents and carers to discuss concerns, ask questions and explore available support with a trained children and family services professional.

Drop into any children’s centre to access the range of borrow bags.  These include sensory bags, stories bags, treasure baskets and much more.


Free online sessions for parents and carer

Solihull approach - free online courses for parents, grandparents, teens and carers

The courses provide support through all stages of bringing up children, from pregnancy and birth to caring for toddlers up to teenagers. They include specific courses for teenagers, and for parents and carers of children with additional needs. Parents’ courses can be accessed via the Solihull approach website.
