Big Cook, Little Cook 0 to 5 years - starts 5 November

Children and parents will work together to prepare nutritious food. There will be lots of chopping, mixing, stirring, measuring and following a recipe.

A sensory and messy play session providing lots of fun-filled opportunities for babies to explore using their senses, giving them opportunities to learn, supporting their early development.

Breast Start from pregnancy and breastfeeding

Come and join us in a relaxed, friendly environment, chat and meet other breastfeeding mums and get some support and advice. A member of the health visiting team supports the group.

Drop-in for parents and carers to chat with a speech and language assistant where they may have concerns about their child’s speech and language development.

Little Explorers Plus

A drop-in stay and play session for families of children with disabilities or complex medical needs, that will provide play and learning opportunities that meets the needs of all children. Drop into any children’s centre to access the range of borrow bags.  These include sensory bags, stories bags, treasure baskets and much more.

Free online sessions for parents and carer

Connect with other parents and carers via Zoom and learn about topics relevant to families and children aged 0 to 5. Share ideas in how to support children’s early education and each other. Visit the Family Corner website.

Solihull approach - free online courses for parents, grandparents, teens and carers

The courses provide support through all stages of bringing up children, from pregnancy and birth to caring for toddlers up to teenagers. They include specific courses for teenagers, and for parents and carers of children with additional needs. Parents’ courses can be accessed via the Solihull approach website.

Incredible years baby 0 to 12 months

This parenting programme that covers the child’s first 12 months of life. It is an evidence-based programme which focuses on strengthening parenting skills and building a positive relationship with your baby. 

It is recommended to gain the most from the course content that you sign up when your child is aged between 0 and 6 months old.

This course will be up to 12 weeks, depending on the needs of the group. To book onto this course email GainsboroughCC@lincolnshire.gov.uk.

Incredible years toddler 1 to 3 years

This 13-week parenting programme an evidence-based programme which focuses on strengthening parenting skills and building a positive relationship with your child. For parents with children aged 1 to 3 years children. Please note that children are unable to attend, this is a parent only course. To book onto this course email GainsboroughCC@lincolnshire.gov.uk.
