The Granary, Hubberts Bridge

The Granary, Hubberts Bridge

The Granary Wedding Barn is an exquisite early 18th-century Grade II Listed Barn featuring a vaulted roof, exposed brickwork, and original beams. Ideal for a relaxed country weekend wedding, it offers exclusive use of the barn, complete with a stunning honeymoon suite in the loft and award-winning holiday cottages at Elms Farm for a two-night stay.

As a traditional Lincolnshire barn, The Granary is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and Partnerships. The venue is set around a charming courtyard garden, where couples and guests can enjoy a pre-wedding gathering on Friday evening. On Saturday, after the ceremony, celebrations continue with drinks and canapés in the courtyard before a wedding breakfast in the beautifully appointed Granary Barn.

Making your day special

It is important that your big day is one you will remember and treasure which is why we invite you to include your additions.

We are flexible when it comes to personal additions, however, there are some legal restrictions you need to be aware of. Civil ceremonies are non-religious ceremonies which include both marriages and civil partnerships. The law does not allow religious content to be included in a civil ceremony.

The day of your ceremony

What time will the registrars arrive on the day of the ceremony?

To leave enough time to carry out your preliminary interviews, our Registrars will arrive at your venue approximately 30 minutes before your ceremony start time (the time you book your ceremony for). It is extremely important that your ceremony starts on time as our Registrars may need to attend other ceremonies after yours.

You will both need to meet with the Registrars immediately prior to your ceremony for a short preliminary interview. This is a legal requirement to check over your details and make sure they are correct and run through the ceremony with you before it begins.

  • You will be seen separately before your ceremony.
  • Party One should be ready to meet with the Registrars 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time.
  • Party Two should be ready 15 minutes before the ceremony start time.
