Decision

1. 6,016.

2. Due to the nature of Lincolnshire County Council's (LCC's) current smarter working approach and the flexibility that brings, along with the number of sites at which employees can work, Lincolnshire County Council do not record this information and are not able to give a precise figure on the number of employees who are currently working from home either full time or part time. More information on LCC's Smarter Working Policy can be found here: https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/employment-policies/smarter-working-policy.

3. To be able to provide a comprehensive response within the timeframe the data has been collated for Lincoln Newland Campus only. There are 886 desks for LCC officers at Newland Campus and 2,327 staff with Newland Campus as their allocated work base. This is a ratio of 1 desk for every 2.62 members of staff.

4. If every member of LCC staff with an allocated work base of Lincoln Newland campus were to work from the offices five days a week, approximately 8,600 square metres of additional office space would be required.

5. As above, approximately 8,600 sqm of additional office space would need to be purchased, leased or refurbished to accommodate 100% of employees working full time in the office at Newland campus.

6. The estimated running cost for the additional space needed to accommodate 100% of employees working full time in the office at Lincoln Newland campus is £1,072,104 per year. This does not include the lease, purchase or refurbishment cost of any additional space.
