We provide street lights mainly to light the highway. There is no statutory duty for us to do so.
Part-night lights have sensors that monitor the number of daylight hours. When the clocks change, they can take several days to adjust. This is not a fault.
Our streetlights all have a yellow sticker with black writing on. If there is not a sticker then we are not the responsible owner.
If the fault presents an immediate danger outside of our normal hours, call the police on 101.
What will happen next
- Reports are assessed and action taken in accordance with our Highways Infrastructure and Asset Management Plan.
- We aim to fix emergency faults within two hours and non-emergency faults within 10 days
- Sometimes the fault requires the electricity provider to make a repair. This will then be repaired to the providers' timescales.
