Risk management

Good risk management involves taking advantage of the good opportunities whilst still being robust enough to cope in the event that things go wrong.

We can help you manage your risks more effectively:

  • Equipping you for intelligent risk-taking and making you better at heading off ‘nasty surprises’
  • Developing a risk management strategy that is appropriate to the size and complexity of your organisation
  • Thinking about risk differently. Depending on the risk appetite of your organisation, you may decide to spend less time on complex pre-project analysis in favour of getting on with actively managing potential risks

For a fee our team will:

  • review how you manage your risks
  • identify risk management strengths and what you are doing well
  • recommend any improvements
  • provide you with an action plan to move your organisation forward towards better outcomes

We can help your organisation to develop and implement action plans through:

  • policy development
  • staff and management awareness training
  • development of toolkits, templates and protocols

We support schools and academies through our Edulincs offering.

Health and safety essentials for school leaders

Headteachers do not always have time for extensive desktop research to ensure legal compliance at their site. To support them, we offer health and safety essentials training sessions.

During these half-day sessions, our adviser will cover the most important areas.  They will tell you what you need to know and maintain by law.

We will give you a digital booklet of resources to help you run your school site.

Health and safety essentials for caretakers

This course lasts a full day. It covers a range of health and safety-related subjects that caretakers need to know.

We schedule these throughout the year at County Offices in Lincoln. We will tell you about them via Perspective Lite.

Risk management ‘health checks’

We can provide unrivalled insight on how you are managing your risks. We can help ensure you are compliant with Ofsted and the Academies Handbook.

Our expert risk management team will:

  • review how you manage your risks
  • identify strengths and what you are doing well
  • recommend any improvements
  • provide an action plan
