National Speed Awareness Course (NSAC)
Only people who the police have offered a National Speed Awareness Course (NSAC) can complete this course.
If the police have offered you a place, you can book online.
The course costs £90 and lasts for 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Online course times
- 7am to 9.45am
- 9.15am to 12 noon
- 10.45am to 1.30pm
- 1pm to 3.45pm
- 5pm to 7.45pm
Please join on Zoom 15 minutes before your course starts to allow for registration. Only on-time attendees will be allowed entry.
Classroom course times
- 9.15am to 12 noon
- 1pm to 3.45pm
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early for your course, as late attendees will be refused entry.
Course overview
This course is designed to make communities safer by helping you to drive at a safe speed within the speed limit through the following objectives:
- Improve knowledge of speed limits and skills in identifying different speed limit areas.
- Increase understanding of the negative consequences of speeding.
- Increase skills in recognising and managing pressure to speed.
- Increase awareness of the importance of concentrating on the roads and anticipating hazards.
- Increase intentions and reduce barriers to driving or riding at a safe speed.
We will not allow you to join a course if you:
- are late.
- are unable to show the trainer your valid photocard driving licence (or paper licence supported by an acceptable photographic ID).
- bring an interpreter (if required) not named on your booking (or they do not have an acceptable photographic ID).
