The Yarborough Hill embankment repair project would involve stabilising the existing slope at the section of Yarborough Road overlooking Whitton’s Park.
The scheme would also include:
- installation of new drainage to manage the water in the ground
- removal of the existing concrete layby
- rebuilding the footway near the current layby so it’s adjacent to the carriageway

The estimated total cost for the project would be between £1.2 million and £2.3 million.

- December 2025*: Project discussed at Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee
- May 2026*: Works begin
