The Collection museum in Lincoln needs volunteers for what is expected to be one of their most popular exhibitions.
Positive, fun people are needed for the Gaia exhibition to help make visitors’ experiences as special as possible.
The awe-inspiring art installation, called Gaia, features an internally-lit spherical model of the earth measuring six metres in diameter.
It’s by the same artist who brought the moon to The Collection in 2018, Luke Jerram.
Paul Mason, Visitor Experience Manager at the Collection, said:
“Volunteers have really enhanced our exhibitions in the past. With visitor numbers expected to be high for Gaia, the role will include greeting and counting visitors into the exhibition in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring visitors understand how to move safely around the space, orientating them around the gallery and answering general enquiries.
“Volunteers will gain experience of working in a museum environment, develop their customer care skills and have the opportunity to work in an innovative and unique contemporary art exhibition.
"The experience can be added to your CV and we gladly provide references for those who volunteer.”
The museum is looking for volunteers to help from Saturday 5 March to Sunday 29 May 2022.
Hours are from 10am to 1pm or 1pm to 4pm, and Friday evening events from 4pm to 8pm on Friday 25 March, Friday 29 April and Friday 27 May 2022.
