Our most recent assessment has been graded as ‘good’. This is for keeping people safe from risks, such as fire, and for how efficiently we deliver the service.

Operational Assessment (OpA) and Fire Peer Challenge
We invited a peer team to assess our service’s performance, improvement and efficiency.
A team of six, including a chief fire officer and an executive county councillor, focused on specific areas within the service. They were:
- a sense check on Integrated Risk Management Planning (IRMP) changes
- Blue light collaboration, health and medical response
- workforce reform
