Skills Bootcamps

About fund 

Skills Bootcamps funding offers free training for individuals living in Greater Lincolnshire (Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire and Rutland). 

The Skills Bootcamps Programme is designed to fill skills gaps. It must complement and not duplicate courses funded via the Adult Education Budget. 

The training provides valuable skills based on local employer needs, with support to help individuals get a job upon completion of the course.

We are inviting applications from registered training providers. 

The opportunity closes Tuesday 6 May, 9pm.  

Funding priorities 

Interested providers will need to submit applications to deliver Skills Bootcamps between 1  June 2025 to 31  March 2026. To adults aged 19 and above, living in Greater Lincolnshire. 

The following priorities apply: 

  • you will have up to 16 weeks to deliver Skills Bootcamps
  • all Skills Bootcamps must deliver at least 60 Guided Learning Hours 
  • all Skills Bootcamps in driving must deliver at least 20 Guided Learning Hours 
  • learners must not pay for any element of the Skills Bootcamp
  • learners must live and work in Greater Lincolnshire
  • learners must be aged 19 and above
  • learners can be unemployed, an independent learner (someone who is currently in work but looking for a new career) self employed or co-funded by their employer

Providers need to collaborate with employers to deliver training in partnership

  • delivery must be at a Level 2 standard or above 
  • Skills Bootcamps are subject to Ofsted inspection
  • training providers must offer support to help learners secure employment or further opportunities
  • training providers can apply to deliver multiple Skills Bootcamps.  

We will consider applications to deliver Skills Bootcamps at Level 2 and above, prioritising the following areas

  • agriculture and food production  
  • business and administration  
  • construction and the built environment  
  • creative and design  
  • digital skills   
  • digital technology  
  • education and early years  
  • engineering and manufacturing  
  • green skills   
  • health and care  
  • hospitality and catering  
  • transport and logistics   
  • visitor economy   

We will also consider Skills Bootcamps that fall outside this list.
