This location offers three ceremony options:-
The Witham Suite - Monday to Saturday with up to 60 guests

You Plus Two Ceremony - Monday morning or Wednesday afternoon - just you, your partner and two witnesses only
All Ceremonies at Lincoln Orchard House include the hire of the room and the registrars to conduct the ceremony.
For those looking for a more premium venue, the Usher Gallery acts as a premium register office location with up to 80 guests for a wedding ceremony like no other.

You Plus Two Ceremonies
Perfect for those couples looking for something simple with just two witnesses. A ‘you plus two’ ceremony is our most simple legal ceremony and takes place on a Monday or Wednesday.- Ceremonies take place on a Monday and Wednesday only
- This ceremony take place in an office rather than a ceremony room and lasts around 15 minutes
- The ceremony is limited to just the couple and two witnesses only. There is no option to invite more than the two witnesses into the ceremony, this includes children and babies.
- This ceremony offers no personalisation options, however you can choose to include the exchange of rings.
- Perfect for couples looking for something simple
- Total fee of £68.50 includes the ceremony fee (£56) + 1 certificate (£12.50)

You can book your ceremony using our online booking system.Please be aware that you will need a valid credit or debit card to be able to complete your booking.

If you are attending a ceremony at Lincoln Register Office, you can arrive up to 15 minutes before the ceremony start time.

Making your day special
Learn more on how you can personalise your civil marriage or civil partnership ceremony. It is important that your big day is one you will remember and treasure which is why we invite you to include your additions.You can invite up to 60 guests if you have booked the Witham Suite and up to 10 guests if you have booked the Newport Room. This does not include the couple or photographer.
We are flexible when it comes to personal additions, however, there are some legal restrictions you need to be aware of. Civil ceremonies are non-religious ceremonies which include both marriages and civil partnerships. The law does not allow religious content to be included in a civil ceremony.
Options for making your day special
Are animals allowed?
If your ceremony is taking place at one of our Registration Office ceremony suites, we have health and safety rules that mean only assistance animals or service dogs are allowed inside our buildings.

Music choices
You are free to include non-religious music whilst your guests wait for proceedings to begin, when you sign the marriage schedule and at the start and close of your ceremony. Depending on the venue of your ceremony you may also wish to include live music.- Music must be supplied by you
- Our office in Lincoln has Bluetooth which is the preferred method and can be connected to a compatible phone or tablet. This will need to be operated by a nominated guest who will need to have access to your playlist. Please make sure they are comfortable to play your music
- We can also accept music on CD
- You can also ask that we choose the music for you and we will play a selection of songs during your ceremony
What format shall I submit my ceremony music in?
If your ceremony is taking place at one of our Register Offices, music must be supplied by you. All our offices have Bluetooth which is the preferred method and can be connected to a compatible phone or tablet. This will need to be operated by a nominated guest who will need to have access to your playlist. Please make sure they are comfortable to play your music.You can also provide your music on a CD which must be dropped off at the office in advance of the day. Please note, music cannot include religious content or be from a religious source and so any hymns or carols are not allowed.

The day of your ceremony
Our staff will ensure that you know what will happen on your ceremony day. We will make sure you are aware of how your ceremony will run on the day. What time shall I arrive on the day of the ceremony?
If your ceremony is due to take place at one of our registration offices, you and your guests can arrive up to 15 minutes before the time shown on your booking confirmation. Your appointment will start at the time shown. The formal ceremony will begin shortly after the time shown, once the pre ceremony interviews have taken place and your guests are seated.We recommend partner one arrives 5 minutes before the time shown on your booking confirmation, and partner two arrives 5 minutes after the time show. The ceremony will begin shortly thereafter once all pre ceremony steps have taken place.

Parking for your wedding car
We make a reserved space available for a wedding car which is just off Orchard Street near the exit to our ceremony garden.
Car parking for guests
Parking is restricted in the surrounding streets, however Pay and Display parking is available nearby- Opposite the office on Orchard Street (City Hall Car Park)

- and Lucy Tower Street

Disabled access
- Fully accessible ramped entrance can be found off Orchard Street to the main reception area.
- Disabled toilets are available at the venue.
- There are disabled parking bays at City Hall very near to the venue.
