Inspecting and testing the build

Inspections of roads and footpaths

We shall be given a minimum of 5 working days' notice and you shall provide facility for our authorised representative to carry out inspections and testing.

Public road and footpath improvements

Public road and footpath improvements shall be inspected and tested at relevant and specific stages of the build depending on the scope of the improvement. Certification will be served upon satisfactory completion of the improvement.

New roads and footpaths

New roads and footpaths shall be inspected and tested at ten key build stages 1 to 10 and we will certify key build stages 5, 9 and 10 subject to satisfactory completion and schedule. Any part of the build that is not inspected by us will not be certified unless it can be proven acceptable by means of additional testing and interpretive reports. Any part of the build that does not comply with our detail design shall be replaced at your expense.

We will adopt new roads and footpaths with a section 38 road adoption agreement and certification of key stage 10.
